Booking Check-in

Use Booking Check-In to confirm that reserved spaces are in use and make unused rooms available to others. Configure check-in at the room level.

When a reservation requires check-in, EMS sends the host a check-in email at the scheduled start time. If your organization uses a room sign application, hosts can also check in from the room's touch-screen display.

Because check-in applies to individual reservations, hosts must check in to each reservation separately.

If a host does not check in within the configured grace period (for example, 10 minutes after the reservation start time), EMS can take action automatically. You can send a warning to the host and, if needed, release the space for other users.

Booking check-in can help you:

  • Reduce unused space in high-demand environments, such as hoteling and hot-desking.

  • Release rooms when no one checks in.

  • Improve the accuracy of space utilization reports.
